La Planète Sauvage is visual masterpeice , an amazing and arresting film. If you can spare the time to watch this entrie film in one sitting you won't be dissapointed!

La Planète Sauvage tell us much about the Traag culture and science, which might seem like background information, but it turns out to be quite important to the plot.

None of the jargon would be half as effective without the striking visual animation provided by artist Roland Topor and director René Laloux. The character design is fully perfect, they look more like pencil sketches. The colors through-out the film enhance the characters.

The Traags are blue, hairless humanoids with red eyes and shell-like ears. They are brightly colored while the Oms, who look like human earthlings, are generally earth tones. Planet Ygam is filled with odd, organically-shaped constructions, flora, and fauna. Much of this is never explained or referred to, which increases the sense of mystery and fascination.
